Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated 2026-07-21

Launch draft pending counsel review. Questions: legal@pagerox.com.

Purpose and scope

Pagerox provides AI employees that work inside your workspace: in Slack, on the web, and through the integrations you connect. This policy sets the rules for how the service may be used. It applies to every account, every workspace member you invite, and every employee you configure. It is part of the Terms of Service; capitalized terms have the meaning given there.

The short version: employees work for teams, not against the people in them. Most of what follows is the long way of saying that.

Prohibited uses

Illegal activity. Do not use the service to violate any law or regulation, or to help anyone else do so.

Infringement. Do not use the service to infringe intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights, including by connecting content you have no right to process.

Malware and attacks. Do not use the service to create or distribute malware, or to conduct phishing, denial of service, credential harvesting, or any attack on the service, its infrastructure, or any third party.

Spam and deception. Do not use employees to send unsolicited bulk messages, or to generate content designed to deceive, defraud, or manipulate, including fake reviews, astroturfing, and impersonation of any person or organization.

Harassment. Do not use employees to harass, threaten, discriminate against, or demean any person, or to generate content that does.

Covert surveillance of individuals. Employees must not be used to secretly monitor, evaluate, or profile individual people, including your own workspace members. Ambient listening in Pagerox is per-channel, disclosed to the workspace, and opt-out capable by design. Disabling, obscuring, or working around that disclosure architecture is a violation, whatever the intent.

Impersonating a human. Pagerox employees always disclose that they are AI: in their profiles, on first contact, and whenever asked. Do not configure, prompt, or instruct an employee to claim to be human or to deny being AI, and do not present employee output as human work where the audience has a legal or reasonable expectation of human authorship.

High-risk decisions without human review. Do not use employees to make consequential determinations about individuals without a qualified human reviewing the output before it takes effect. This includes medical diagnosis or treatment decisions, legal advice or determinations, credit, insurance, employment, and other financial decisions about a person.

Violating third-party terms. Employees act only through integrations you authorize. Do not use them to violate the terms, rate limits, or access rules of Slack or any other platform they connect to.

Circumventing controls. Do not circumvent or attempt to circumvent usage limits, the permission ladder, or human-approval gates on employee actions. Actions that require approval require approval; routing around that requirement is a violation even if the underlying action would have been approved.

Defeating injection resistance for abuse. Employees are built so that ingested content (messages, documents, webhooks) cannot reconfigure them or change what they are allowed to do. Do not attempt to defeat that protection, whether against your own employees or anyone else's.

Cross-tenant access. Do not probe, access, or attempt to extract data belonging to another customer's workspace, and do not test or disrupt the service's tenancy isolation.

Resale. Do not resell or sublicense access to employees outside your organization without a written agreement with us.

Security testing

We welcome responsible security research on your own workspace and your own data. If you find a vulnerability, report it to support@pagerox.com and give us a reasonable chance to fix it before disclosing it publicly.

Do not test against other tenants, other customers' data, or production systems in ways that could degrade the service for anyone else. Good-faith research stays inside your own tenant.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for having a lawful basis for the content you connect to Pagerox: the channels you enable, the documents you upload, and the integrations you authorize.

You are responsible for informing your own workspace members about employees and ambient listening as required by the laws that apply to you. The product discloses by design; local law may require more from you, and that part is yours.

You are responsible for reviewing consequential employee output before relying on it, as described in the Terms. Employees are capable, but the judgment calls remain yours.

Enforcement

We investigate suspected violations. Depending on severity, we may warn you, restrict specific features or employees, suspend the workspace, or terminate the account, as set out in the Terms.

We will contact you about enforcement action unless the law prohibits it or doing so would put people or the service at risk.

Reporting abuse

If you see the service being used in a way this policy prohibits, tell us at support@pagerox.com. Reports are reviewed by a human, and we do not penalize good-faith reporting.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product and the law evolve. The date above reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be announced through the service or by email; continued use after a change takes effect means you accept it.
